Scripture Text:  1 Corinthians 16:9, Acts 14:27, Job 13:15, Hebrews 11

When God sets a door before us, He gives us access to go through.  As we travel to this door there are many obstacles along the way.  These obstacles are set before us by the enemy to discourage us; however, God has placed His confidence in us that we shall press on.  He trust that we will maintain the same attitude that Job had, "Though he slay me yet will I trust in him..." Job 1:15.  Let's look at the passage of scripture about the widow woman in 1 Kings 17:9 - 16.  Elijah was told to go to Zarephath and there he would find a widow woman who would sustain him (verse 9). The widow woman had just enough for herself and her son's last meal, yet when she was asked to provide a meal first for the man of God she gave willingly her last by faith. As a result of her walking by faith her barrel and cruse never failed her during the drought.  Noah in his day had never experienced rain; however, by faith he believed the Lord and built an ark, which saved he and his household (Genesis 6:13 - 14).

Let us remember that a door means access and access means the following: permission, liberty,or ability to enter.  Since we are the children of Jesus and Jesus is the Door, we have divine permission, liberty, and the ability to enter into the DOOR OF FAITH.  Just as God open the door for the Gentiles in the book of Acts, He will open the door for us today.  When the door is opened God desires for us to walk boldly through the Door of Faith.  It is through much prayer and fasting that we will be able to say "Then the devil leaveth me" Matthew 4:11.  The Lord will make a way past all opposition.  God is the way and He will direct us when we look to Him and walk by faith and not by sight.  Dr. V. Raymond Edman explained faith as the following:

"Faith is dead to doubts, dumb to discouragements, blind to impossibilities, knows nothing but success.  Faith lifts its hands up through the threatening clouds, lays hold of Him who has all power in heaven and on earth.  Faith makes the up-look good, the outlook bright, the in-look favorable and the future glorious."

Tips to walk by faith and not by sight are as follows:
1.  Forget the past
2.  Don't worry about tomorrow
3.  Pray bold prayers
4.  Read the Bible daily
5.  Seek to know God
6.  Fast consistently
7.  Exercise your faith daily
The result:  MIRACLES COME WHEN WE WALK BY FAITH!
